Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Stonecut Group Ltd ("Stonecut", "we", "us"), company number 16773321, registered in England and Wales and based in London, UK, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy matters at hello@stonecut.ai.

2. What we collect

When you use the Website Plan tool or contact us, we may collect:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your business type, main service, website goals and current website URL, if given.
  • Answers about pages, enquiry preferences, budget range and timeline.
  • The website plan generated from your answers.
  • Basic usage events, such as which step of the Website Plan you reached, whether you viewed your plan, and whether you clicked a booking link — linked to a random session identifier stored in your browser's local storage, not to your identity until you submit the form.

We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking, and we do not run third-party analytics scripts on this website.

3. How we use your data

  • To generate and send you your Website Plan.
  • To respond to enquiries and follow up about our services.
  • To understand how the Website Plan tool is used, so we can improve it.
  • To meet legal, accounting or regulatory requirements.

Your business answers are used to generate plan content, in part with the help of an automated language model. This is used to draft suggested wording and structure — it does not make decisions about you and has no effect on your legal rights.

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry and operating this website, and, where you go on to become a client, to perform the contract between us. Where we email you your Website Plan or follow up about it, this is necessary to provide the service you asked for.

5. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored using Cloudflare's infrastructure (database, hosting and email sending), which may process data across Cloudflare's global network. Cloudflare acts as our data processor and maintains its own safeguards for handling personal data. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with any other third party except where required by law.

6. How long we keep it

We keep Website Plan submissions and enquiry data for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, deliver any project, and meet our accounting and legal obligations. If we have not heard from you, we aim to delete or anonymise inactive plan data after 24 months. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to delete your data.
  • Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Ask for your data in a portable format.
  • Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@stonecut.ai.

8. Children

This website and our services are aimed at businesses, not children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
